Flix has partnered with HMP Whitemoor to create a series of innovative 360° Virtual Reality (VR) training videos for the UK Prison Service. This training includes three films that explore the experience of humility for officers and best practices for conducting cell searches. After research and development, including interviews with staff and inmates to ensure realistic content, the training aims to help officers gain a deeper understanding of inmates’ experiences and reflect on their daily interactions.

This unique VR simulation allows officers to experience confrontational situations in a safe, controlled environment before working on the wing. Post-Covid, the project is expected to expand across the Prison Service, offering a new approach to training that enhances empathy and improves officer-inmate relationships.
