Groundbreaking VR Study in Palliative Care

Flix is proud to have partnered with Royal Trinity Hospice on an ethically approved clinical study exploring the potential of personalised Virtual Reality (VR) in palliative care. At the time, little research or funding had been dedicated to this area, but we believed VR could make a meaningful impact on patient well-being.

The response from patients participating in the study was overwhelming, with each patient having a unique and profound reaction to their VR experience. Witnessing this was a privilege and highlighted the importance of this research. Their invaluable feedback will help inform the future use of VR in healthcare and strengthen confidence in its application within palliative care. We are deeply grateful to all contributors, especially the patients, some of whom are no longer with us. Their participation has been instrumental in advancing VR technology in this vital sector.
