During Homeless Awareness Week, Royal Trinity Hospice staff took part in an eye-opening virtual reality (VR) experience provided by Flix VR. Conscious that homeless individuals often face unique barriers to healthcare and palliative care, Flix VR delivered an immersive VR session to help healthcare providers gain a better understanding of the daily struggles faced by the homeless community.

Through VR, staff experienced what it’s like to ‘feel’ homelessness—gaining insights that are expected to deepen empathy and improve care for vulnerable populations. This initiative highlights the power of VR for wellness training in healthcare, enhancing awareness and compassion among caregivers.
